Sacred Heart Memories: Sacred Heart holds a special place in my memory. I don't think I would have become the person I am today had I not gone there. I met some really great people while there, and I'm now getting back in touch with those people and rediscovering our friendships.
If I had to pick out a few specific memories, they would have to be:
Being in Mrs. Goodman's kindergarten class. While that was a long time ago, I can still remember a lot about it. I remember how colorful the room was and how exciting it was being in her class and how nice and helpful Mrs. Goodman was. Honestly, I never had another teacher like Mrs. Goodman. She was my favorite teacher and I'll never forget her.
I also remember the one night we were putting on a play and a terrible storm blew in and really frightened everybody. At the time it was terrifying, but now I think back on it and smile, because everyone helped everyone out that night.
Field trips were always fun. We went so many places, so I can't pinpoint an exact trip, but the trips were always something to look forward to.
And perhaps the best memories are the ones that are happening now, as I'm reconnecting with the people I went to school with at Sacred Heart. Getting to hear about how things have changed (and even how things haven't really changed) is absolutely wonderful.

Sacred Heart Memories: I look back at my time at Sacred Heart very positively. I think first and foremost my time there helped me learn the importance of surrounding oneself with great people. I have carried the friendships I made at Sacred Heart with me as I moved around the world and they have helped to create a grounding that I have used throughout my life. Secondly, I think the education I received there was very good in teaching the basics and providing a foundation for future learning. But, I like to think it also helped build in me more discipline about learning that I used as I continued my education beyond Sacred Heart. Finally, I think people like Mrs. Muller encouraged me to learn about what is going on in the world. This encouragement created an inquisitiveness about other people and environments that has been critical in my career and more importantly - been personally rewarding.

Sacred Heart Memories: Sacred Heart gave me an outstanding educational foundation, deepened my family values, and taught me to strive for more; all of which has helped me professionally and as a father and husband.

Sacred Heart Memories: As a Freshman, my Father moved his family to Warren County to farm. There is not a Catholic Church there and there were no High School religion classes at that time because of gas rationing. We were one of six Catholic families in the High School. Attending Sacred Heart School gave me a very firm foundation for the rest of my life. Studying the Baltimore Catechism pretty much set the rules on how we are to live. In the seventh and eight grades, we had to learn Church history along with world and US history. LearningChurch history gave me the confidence to blend into society to have a successful life. Our house, where we farmed in Northern Warren County, just needed to be 500 feet further north for our children to attend SacredHeart School. Our Son's house, who took over the farming operation, is further north and his children do attendSacred Heart School. That is the main reason that my wife and I retired in Fowler: to watch and be active with our grandchildren going through Sacred Heart School. I feel very fortunate of having the opportunity of attending Sacred Heart School and sincerely hope that it will continue to serve the needs of our children for many more generations.
